1. Apparently Google changed their name to "Topeka" today out of respect for the citizen's of Topeka, Kansas, who changed the name of their city to "Google" in hopes of luring Google (aka Topeka) to select their city to participate in an "experimental ultra high speed broadband project." Or not . . .
2. Michael Jackson's doctor (you know, the guy that allegedly helped Jackson to sleep better at night - so much better, in fact, that he is now sleeping permanently) is apparently fighting hard to keep his medical license so he can "continue practicing medicine in order to pay for his defense on a manslaughter charge in the pop star's death." Yeah, um, I'm thinking, "no" on this one.
3. I am SICK or the rain! Sick of it, I tell you! So, it was GREAT to see the sun this morning and to walk down the street to get coffee without getting dumped on. Very pleasant. But, oh crap! Wait a sec! What's this? A honkin' muthah storm moving into Oregon early Friday with 70 mph winds along the Oregon Coast, a couple of feet of snow in the mountains and a buttload of rain for the lower elevations. I give up. I'm gonna move to the desert planet of Tatooine.
