If you have young kids, this is a book you ought to snag for them - and to read yourself! "Turning 15 On The Road To Freedom" is Lynda Blackmon Lowerey's memoir of growing up in Selma, Alabama and taking part in the Selma voting rights marches. She was arrested nine times before she turned 15 just for standing up for voting rights - even though she was too young to vote! It's a great story and the discussion guide and other supplementary materials are outstanding as well. . And if you haven't read it already, the three volume graphic novel "March" by John Lewis is something everyone should read! . Steady, loving confrontation! . #bookreview #strongwomen #civilrights #blacklivesmatter
