Beginning July 28th a new reality TV show takes aim at Amish kids and a rite of passge called rumspringa. Rumspringa (or "running around") occurs for Amish youth at about age 16.
The show will follow five Amish kids as they explore life in the big city - with all its temptations.
According to the Mennonite Weekly Review, "Though they usually return to the fold and get baptized, Amish youth often dress in 'English' clothes during this time and sample such verbotens as smoking, drinking alcohol and driving (or even owning) cars.
