Indiana Jones Was Clueless
I'm not sure if it was seeing Raiders of the Lost Ark or my trip to Israel a couple of years ago that have made me interested in where the Ark of the Covenant might be hiding. (Assuming it still exists!) Here's an article from the Halifax Daily News that reports an Israeli archaeologist as saying the Ark is in Jerusalem (probably somewhere under the Temple Mount - and he intends to find it!

When I visited Jerusalem, I was lucky enough to visit the Temple Institute. In their own words, "The Temple Institute (in Hebrew, Machon HaMikdash), founded in 1987, is a non-profit educational and religious organization located in the Jewish quarter of Jerusalem’s Old City. We are dedicated to every aspect of the Biblical commandment to build the Holy Temple of G-d on Mount Moriah in Jerusalem." Part of their work is to, "to restore and construct the sacred vessels for the service of the Holy Temple." One item they are not reconstructing is the Ark of the Covenant. Why? Because they believe they know exactly where it is! Check out this article on their Web site that provides the details!
