See this handmade ladder? My grandfather made it and mounted it beneath the floor of a hall closet in the house I grew up in. The floor of the hall closet was cut away and hinged to allow inside access to the basement of our home. (The only other access was from the outside of the house.) . My dad, the greatest gunstock maker of his time, (I’m not kidding) worked in this shop in our basement for over thirty years making rifle stocks That are better than any you have ever seen. Also, my brother fell through this trap door once and later went on to earn a double major at MIT. #noworseforwear .
